Team Review: Rainer
“Gritty” Rainer team is ready to compete in the brand new Coastal Range League.

Second year Head Coach Logan Nelson will lead preseason #8 Rainer HS in the brand new Coastal Range League that will also feature Clatskanie, Willamina, Taft and Warrenton. “I think the new league is interesting with two new teams, we don’t know much about. We’re excited to get after it and test those unknown waters” Logan said.
Rainer ended last season 10-17 overall record, 7-9 in league play and #19 OSAA rankings. Rainer graduated two All League performers in Caymon Rea and Dawson Carr last season. Who will lead the Colombians this season?? “We have the best captain you could ask for in returning All League Sr. Joey Tripp. At the same time, we are leaning on everyone this season. In 3A basketball, we feel teams that have good depth win and we feel like we have it.”
I asked coach to define his team in one word, “Gritty, because we are willing to play anyone anywhere anytime! Our team goal is to be consistent at everything we do this year.
