Coos Bay “Elite 8” predicitons!
Here are my predictions of Elite 8 (In my opinion)
Rankings doesnt matter when you get to Coos Bay. All teams have a 0-0 record.
The A Bracket
De La Salle vs Sutherlin
I am predicting this game to be intense. Both teams at full strength are legitimate final four teams. My guess is after a close first half, De La Salle will come out strong and pull away in the end. Speed and tenacious defense will be the difference.
De La Salle will advance to the Final Four.
The B Bracket
Pleasant Hill vs Nyssa
I am expecting some jitters and rough starts for both teams. This game will be close late in the fourth quarter. In the end, I think Pleasant Hill will make enough plays down the stretch and win in a close one.
Pleasant Hill advances to the Final Four.
The C Bracket
Dayton vs Clatskanie
Clatskanie will make their first trip to the Elite 8 in a long time. The hard part is they will face a hungry and determine Dayton team. I believe Dayton senior guards will be the difference and make big plays in this one. Dayton will pull away early and want look back.
Dayton will advance to the Final Four.
The D Bracket
Santiam Christian vs Amity
Amity is coming into this game with a huge win over Horizon Christian. Amity fans will pack the gym and it will feel like home game. It’s only one problem, they are playing SC! Santiam Christian size will play a major factor in this game and it will ultimately be the difference. Amity will keep it close but SC will pull away in the second half!
Santiam Christian will advance to the Final Four.
Someone ask me, Which two teams are capable of pulling off the upsets?
If I had to choose which teams could pull off the upset then I would choose Nyssa and Sutherlin.
Sutherlin moving down from 4A and something to prove. Mason Gill is a stud and his team is good as well.
I said the Nyssa and Pleasant Hill game will be close, so I wouldnt be surprised if Nyssa won.
